This operation gives a younger and happier look to a tired expression. The intervention reduces excess eyelid skin and removes pockets of fat. We can operate separately on the upper or lower eyelid.
Duration:
Local or general anaesthesia. Does not usually require hospitalisation, day clinic only.
After the intervention:
For a few days, a little inconvenience can be felt when closing the eyes. With the careful technique of a qualified surgeon, hematomas are rare, but they may sometimes occur. Eye drops and ice will relieve the ecchymosis or tearful eyes. Sunglasses are recommended during the first few days to eliminate the possibility of curious stares.
Complications:
Rare: hematomas, infections, ectropion (lower eyelid turns outwards) ptosis (drooping of the upper eyelid)
