Skin rejuvenation

With laser techniques, facial skin can now be completely regenerated.

The fractional procedure, technically fractional photothermolysis or fractional resurfacing, was developed to treat creasing and pigmental changes. This treatment is comparable in performance to a CO2 laser, but with only minor visible signs, allowing patients to continue with normal social and professional activity immediately after treatment. Undertaken over the course of 4 to 5 sessions, the intervention treats 20 to 25% of the skin in each session. As a result 75-80% of the dermis is untouched by the treatment, allowing extremely rapid skin healing, free of visible dermabrasion. The treated areas betray only a slight reddening comparable to that of a lengthy exposure to sunlight, and lasting for 1 to 3 days.

Objective of the treatment:

Fractional resurfacing is a laser treatment suitable for those wanting a global anti-age treatment spread over a number of sessions. The procedure permits in-depth rejuvenation of the skin on the face, neck, and cleavage, with noticeable improvement of lesser and medium creasing, enlarged or dilated pores, and irregularities of the complexion, such as those due to acne scars. It is also suitable for anyone with pigmented areas or melasma such as may occur following repeated exposure to sunlight, hormonal problems or after pregnancy.

La technique:

This ingenious new technique offers in-depth treatment while ensuring speedy healing due to its specificity. After the treatment, a light reddening and swelling may persist for up to 3 days. However, these effects are easily hidden by make-up. Thanks to the very effective cooling system, neither anaesthesia nor bandaging is required. Patients feel only a warm sensation and slight prickling. You can resume your social life the same day after applying make-up.

To obtain optimal results, 3 to 5 treatments at monthly intervals are required.

Results:

From the very first fractional laser treatment the skin is brightened and its structure is finer: it becomes firmer and more toned. As the series of treatments progresses, the skin becomes increasingly smooth and regular.

Risks:

This procedure presents relatively little risk, though scarring and local infection may occur. If labial herpes is present, antiviral treatment is required before and after the procedure.
